I believe in the power of language, and that impactful writing and intuitive design can bridge the gap between humanity and technology. Through words and visuals, I help companies find their voice and build a digital presence that resonates on a human level.

A bit about my work... I've been into website management for many years now. I got a taste writing copy for a brand new website in the late '90s (!), and later went on to art direct, create and manage content, and direct site maps, layouts, and user experience for enterprise sites including Catholic Financial Life, American Lock/Master Lock, National Association of EMTs, Sentry Equipment, and ACT. I founded and ran a marketing communications consultancy for nine years and have more than two decades of experience in the spectrum of marketing communications—from strategy development to hands-on implementation.

Currently I manage marketing communications, including a website, for a global line of business at tech leader Oracle. I’m also the creator, writer, and site designer of the fun ivy&artifact home design blog! And this site, of course.

Writing, editing, grammar, and language are passions of mine. I earned a B.A. in English with a minor in Communications from St. Norbert College, and an MBA with a Marketing concentration (six additional courses) from Ottawa University. I recently have taken additional courses and earned the Generative AI for Marketing Professional certificate by the American Marketing Association.

My poetry has been published in several anthologies as well as self-published in books sold locally at independent bookstores. I’ve been honored with several awards for my work, including: Silver Award, Direct Mail, Wisconsin Direct Marketing Association | Three Excellence Awards and two Merit Awards, Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Paragon Awards | Seven First Place Awards and two Merit Awards, Wisconsin Communicators Awards, Association for Women in Communications | ARC Silver Award, Direct Mail, American Marketing Association, Midwest Chapter | Editorial Excellence Award, The Writer magazine, FOLIO | Bronze Anvil Award, Promotional Piece, USA Today, National PRSA | Two Gold Circle Awards in Communications, Total Communications Program and Magazine, American Society of Association Executives.
